Resolution
In the belief of a land of Freedom, Liberty, and Equal treatment of all humanity and life, Society must first establish removal of all gender binary and cultural stereotypes of what define humanity as individuals in order to do so. We as people in the aspirations for true liberation and any form of Social Justice must acknowledge and change the way we look and act as individuals before we can expect others to and create actual positive change for the better of our Nations.
Committee: Human Rights And Economics
Topic: Impact of Industrial Revolution on establishment of Gender Roles
Sponsors: Universal Declaration of Human Rights , CEDAW (Fact Sheet 2011) , etc.
Deeply Concerned on the awareness Gender Roles enforced in households and how they impact Society,
Aware of the inequality and vast differences among genders through first hand experience and observation I wish to encourage others to become informed of this issue and how society categorizes as well as gives us as people privileges and or vast disadvantages towards the other gender,
Realizing women and men as young adults and even adults still have to deal with unequal treatment over years of history that have tried to fight for equal acknowledgement in society is not only frustrating and infuriating but further more sad,
I wish to stress that my issue not be taken as a simple conversation but also an encouragement to change the way you as person as well as future generations think of gender roles.
I emphasize that awareness to Gender Roles be deconstructed and brought to critical analysis rather than conformity,For as long as their is conformity progress as a Society cannot be made.
My Call to Collective Justice institutes the proposal of the:
> Acknowledgement and understanding of the standardization of Gender Discrimination
and Privilege seen in society,
> Reaffirm the way Gender Roles are portrayed through religion at a global level,
> Demand changes in Universities and or College economic requirements in order to make education more excessive for people and therefore make societies level of literacy increase. Given that many are prejudice and make assumptions of people because we don't truly understand, by making education more accessible we are renovating the way people not only see the world but creating progress in society in the form of lowering gender discrimination and stereotypes.
